Overview: Zuien Country Club Eniwa Course is an 18-hole parkland layout in Eniwa, only a few minutes from the Eniwa interchange and within the New Chitose golf corridor. The current official guide lists par 72 and 7,050 yards, with Masashi Ozaki and Kentaro Sato credited as designers. The terrain is generally level, but ponds, bunkers, mounds and narrow landing areas supply the strategy. That balance makes the course useful for a golf itinerary: it is accessible and playable, yet the design still asks for disciplined placement rather than treating the round as a straightforward resort walk.
History: Current course information dates the opening to 30 May 1990. The club now operates under the Zuien name and publishes current visitor reservations, course guides and seasonal news from the Eniwa address. Its modern identity has remained tied to the relationship between a broad Hokkaido setting and a carefully structured layout. The official guide shows that the original design idea still reads in the details, with doglegs, water, cross bunkers and elevated greens shaping the choices from hole to hole.
Did You Know? The official guide’s first hole is a par five that bends gently right and narrows at the second-shot landing area, with cross bunkers and mounds guarding the preferred line. The 17th is a 196-yard par three over water and riveted bunker, while the 18th is a 560-yard par five with water along the right. Those bookends show how Zuien mixes an inviting start with a demanding finish.
