Overview: Located near Pori on the western coast of Finland, Yyteri Golf is a highly scenic 18-hole coastal woodland course. Set adjacent to the massive Yyteri sand dunes, the layout features tight, tree-lined fairways bordered by dense pine forests, expansive sandy waste areas, and small, well-defended putting surfaces. The course demands precise ball placement to navigate the narrow forest corridors and the deep coastal sands.
History: Founded in the late 1980s, the course was built to bring high-quality competitive golf to the Satakunta region. The layout was carefully integrated into the natural sand dunes, minimizing earth movement to preserve the historic coastal ecosystem and providing a highly unique, firm-and-fast playing experience.
Did You Know? The course is built immediately adjacent to the Yyteri Beach, one of the longest and most famous sandy beaches in the Nordic countries. The massive, natural sand dunes directly influence the local topography and the incredibly sandy subsoil of the golf course.
