Overview: Ypsilon Golf Resort Liberec sits in the foothills of the Jizera Mountains, surrounded by a nature reserve and largely free from urban development. Keith Preston used the broken relief to create 18 individual holes with a flowing, rolling character. The course combines woodland edges, open slopes and carefully shaped greens, with a balanced par 72 card that includes four par threes, four par fives and ten par fours.
History: The club became a regular Czech Golf Federation member in 2004, and the entire resort opened to play in 2006. Ypsilon soon entered the professional tournament calendar, hosting the EPD Tour in 2007, the Challenge Tour in 2008 and later several Pro Golf Tour events. The course’s early development established it as one of Northern Bohemia’s leading modern layouts.
Did You Know? The name Ypsilon comes from the distinctive shape of the site and the way the valleys and ridges meet around the course. Its isolation is part of the design experience: the official course description emphasises the absence of surrounding development, so views of the Jizera landscape dominate rather than roads or buildings.
