Overview: Yahnundasis Golf Club is a private Walter Travis course in New Hartford, routed over rolling Mohawk Valley land. Traditional green contours, strategic bunkers and tree-lined holes give the par-71 layout a classic inland character in which approach placement is more important than raw length.
History: The club was founded in 1897, began with an early nine-hole course and developed into an 18-hole layout before Walter Travis's work became the defining architectural reference. The New York State Golf Association was founded on the grounds in 1923.
Did You Know? Yahnundasis is an Oneida name commonly translated as “around the hill.” The phrase suits the course's rolling site and preserves a direct connection to the region's Indigenous history.
