Wynstone Golf Club

Overview: The Club at Wynstone is a private Jack Nicklaus Signature Design in North Barrington, Illinois. The course moves across rolling ground, wetlands and mature oak stands within the former estate landscape, using broad landforms and shaped green complexes to create a strategic parkland test. Its suburban setting is screened by the natural structure of the property.

History: Wynstone was established in 1989 and opened for play on July 3 of that year. Jack Nicklaus designed the course, and the club later became the center of a private residential community built around the original estate land.

Did You Know? Nicklaus shot 65 from the back tees on the course's opening day, establishing the original course record. Wynstone describes the design as Nicklaus's only Signature Design in Illinois.
