Overview: Wrexham Golf Club is a rolling parkland course northeast of the town, with mature trees, changing elevations and views toward the Welsh hills. The current 18-hole layout plays to par 70 at about 6,133 yards. Five par threes and three par fives give the round variety, while well-drained ground helps the course remain playable through much of the year.
History: The club began with a nine-hole course before moving to the present site, where James Braid designed the new 18-hole layout in 1923. Wartime requisitioning later affected the course and led to reconstruction, so the modern layout is the result of both Braid's original plan and the club's work to restore its playing ground after the war.
Did You Know? The course has hosted Wales Golf championships and county matches while also producing Welsh international players. Its current scorecard contains five par threes, an unusually varied set for a par 70 parkland course.
