Overview: World Country Golf Club frames the Osaka plain. It looks across the Osaka plain from a broad property in Kanan, where Rick Jacobson's 18-hole design uses open fairways, shaped greens and a sequence of visual hazards to create a full 7,077-yard par-72 test. The course is spacious without losing the sense of a target at every hole.
History: World Country opened in 1997. The official site records the opening as 1 April 1997. The official site continues to describe Jacobson's design as a strategic public course with changing fairway shapes and broad views. The current routing has kept that late-20th-century character, combining a modern championship scale with an approachable metropolitan location.
Did You Know? The fourth hole is a par three of about 187 yards whose front and back relationship makes distance control unusually important. Current course material also identifies it as the hole with the highest number of holes-in-one since opening, an entertaining piece of local course history.
