Overview: Woodmont Country Club’s North Course is a wooded Rockville layout by Alfred Tull, with mature trees, rolling ground, and broad fairway corridors leading to strategic green complexes. The course is part of a 36-hole club whose two courses have distinct histories and design identities.
History: The North Course opened on July 26, 1950, after Alfred Tull and his collaborators shaped the original 18-hole layout. The South Course followed in 1961, and later work by Arthur Hills and Joel Weiman updated greens and bunkers while keeping the North Course’s history visible.
Did You Know? Woodmont hosted the 2020 U.S. Women’s Amateur, bringing a national championship to the North Course and its surrounding club grounds.
