Overview: The Woodlands Club's private 18-hole course in Falmouth, Maine was designed by Jim and George Fazio. The course sits in a wooded New England setting near Portland and combines mature trees, rolling land and a long championship history.
History: The Woodlands Club was established in 1988 after developers Jim Vamvakias and Bob DeRice pursued a year-round country-club concept. The Fazio-designed course became the centerpiece of a property that also developed extensive racquet, fitness and social facilities.
Did You Know? The course has hosted four Hogan or Nike Tour events, competitions now associated with the Korn Ferry Tour.
