Overview: The Duchess’ Course is one of three Woburn layouts, running through mature pine woodland and estate ground near Milton Keynes. The white card measures 6,555 yards at par 72, with narrow tree-lined approaches and accurate driving shaping the route through the forest.
History: Charles Lawrie designed the Duchess’ Course, which opened in April 1978. Woburn later used the course for events including the Ford Ladies Classic and national amateur competitions, adding a competitive history to its resort setting.
Did You Know? The course’s name reflects Woburn’s estate history, and the fifth and eleventh holes cross an ancient ridge associated by the club with a Danish settlement.
