Overview: Located in the Hageland region of Flemish Brabant, Belgium, the Championship Course at Winge Golf & Country Club is an 18-hole parkland course designed by Pete Dye. Winding across a historic agricultural estate, the layout features heavily rolling fairways, deep, dramatic sand and grass bunkers, and massive, wildly contoured green complexes. The course demands strategic driving to navigate the severe slopes and precise approach shots to hold the elevated greens.
History: Opened in 1988, the course was built to establish a premier luxury competitive venue in Belgium. Dye, known for his penal and visually intimidating architecture, moved massive amounts of earth to create severe ridges and deep hollows on the historic site, crafting a highly challenging layout that has hosted numerous national amateur championships.
Did You Know? The course is built on the historic grounds of the 17th-century Sint-Joris-Winge Castle. The spectacular, moated castle provides a majestic, medieval backdrop to the closing holes and serves as an elegant focal point for the estate.
