Overview: Whitefish Lake Golf Club's North Course is a parkland layout framed by pine trees and the wider mountain landscape of northwest Montana. The par-72 course measures 6,898 yards from the black tees and blends the original routing with later work that refined its playing surfaces and strategy.
History: The Whitefish Lake Golf Association history records a Works Progress Administration project, a 1936 grand opening, and Bill Trippett's role in designing the original course. John Steidel remodeled the Woods Nine in 1983 and the Lake Nine in 1985, creating the North Course used today.
Did You Know? The original Whitefish project also served as an emergency landing field, with the historic log clubhouse built as part of that dual-purpose development.
