Overview: White Beach Golf is an 18-hole links-style course beside Valgeranna and Pärnu Bay on Estonia’s southern coast. Finnish architect Kosti Kuronen designed the course across a broad 84-hectare property, using wide fairways, artificial dunes, the Audru River and a network of man-made lakes to create a coastal round with both open and water-defined holes. The official sports register lists par 72 and the club describes the river and artificial hills as central to the layout. Baltic wind can change the best line quickly, so the course’s apparent width is balanced by the need to control distance and direction.
History: Construction began in autumn 2002 and the full-size course opened in 2004, making White Beach the first 18-hole golf course in Pärnu County. Its name refers to nearby Valgeranna, or White Beach, and the course was developed to connect that seaside landscape with a modern golf facility. The property includes practice ground and a clubhouse, but the main identity remains the links-style routing around the Audru River and water areas. White Beach has since become one of the established golf destinations around Pärnu, with the coast and resort town close to the course.
Did You Know? The White Beach property contains about 19 hectares of water obstacles within its 84 hectares, so water is a major part of the course’s physical footprint. The Audru River runs alongside the layout while artificial lakes and dunes create additional shaping. The result is a links-style course that combines coastal wind and open ground with a deliberately constructed water landscape.
