Overview: Whistling Rock’s Temple Course is one of three 9-hole loops at the private Chuncheon club. Ted Robinson Jr. routed the facility through mountain forest, lakes, streams and native rock, while the official club page lists Temple at 3,559 yards. The directory record represents the Temple nine, not an invented 18-hole course.
History: Whistling Rock was developed as a 27-hole private facility with three distinct nines: Cocoon, Temple and Cloud. Each loop takes its name from a tea house, and the course team combined Robinson’s golf design with landscape and clubhouse architecture intended to respond to the surrounding mountains.
Did You Know? The Temple, Cocoon and Cloud nines each have their own tea house, so the club’s routing names are also physical landmarks encountered during a round.
