Overview: Westchester Country Club's West Course is a private Rye parkland course associated with Walter Travis's 1922 design and later work by Ken Dye. Mature trees, rolling ground and carefully shaped green complexes make the course a study in position and approach angles.
History: The club opened its two Travis courses in May 1922 after the Biltmore Country Club project moved onto the former estate property. The West later became a regular PGA Tour venue, hosting the Westchester Classic and related events for decades.
Did You Know? The West has hosted 42 PGA Tour events according to the club's history, an unusually long run for a private course that remains part of a two-course club rather than a purpose-built tournament resort.
