Overview: At Waterlefe in Bradenton, an 18-hole semi-private course follows the Manatee River. Ted McAnlis designed the course around natural preserves and the Manatee River, with water, wildlife and a broad choice of tees shaping the experience.
History: The course opened in 2000 and was developed as part of the Waterlefe community. Current club information credits McAnlis and describes eight tee sets ranging from shorter play to a championship length of about 6,900 yards.
Did You Know? Five signature holes border the Manatee River, and the course has hosted US Open qualifiers multiple times. Those river holes are central to the course's character and not merely a scenic afterthought.
