Overview: The Mountain Course at Wasatch Mountain State Park is a high-elevation 18-hole layout in Midway, Utah. The routing climbs through natural mountain contours and forested slopes before returning toward the clubhouse, with changing uphill, downhill and sidehill lies defining the playing character.
History: William H. Neff designed the original mountain course in 1972, and Gene Bates renovated and expanded the routing to its current 18-hole form in 1998. Utah State Parks describes the present Mountain Course as the newer, more elevated companion to the Lake Course.
Did You Know? The first nine holes travel roughly two miles up the mountain before the back nine brings the routing back toward the clubhouse. The course's wildlife setting includes deer, elk, wild turkeys and moose in the surrounding park.
