Overview: Located in Helsinki, Finland, Vuosaari Golf is a unique 18-hole public coastal links-style course. Built on a massive, open peninsula jutting into the Gulf of Finland, the layout features wide, heavily contoured fairways, extensive deep-faced pot bunkers, and large, fast green complexes. The course is completely treeless and entirely exposed to severe coastal winds, requiring players to utilize creative ground-game shots and precise trajectory control.
History: Opened in 2001, the course was built on a massive, reclaimed industrial harbor site. The construction required extensive environmental planning to cap the site and create a pure, authentic links aesthetic in an urban setting. The facility has hosted multiple Finnish national championships.
Did You Know? The course is built directly adjacent to a massive, active commercial seaport. Players can enjoy the highly unique, industrial backdrop of massive cargo ships and towering shipyard cranes constantly moving along the immediate horizon.
