Overview: Set within a beautiful, undulating pine forest in Finland's premier sports resort, the Cooke Course at Vierumäki is a world-class championship layout designed by Canadian architect Graham Cooke. The course features wide, rolling fairways, dramatic sandy waste areas, and large, multi-tiered greens protected by strategic, deep-set bunkers. Winding through the native pine and birch forests, the layout offers a highly scenic, athletic, and strategic test of golf that demands both power off the tee and precise distance control on the approach.
History: Opened in 2006, the Cooke Course was built with the explicit goal of hosting major international championships, immediately elevating Vierumäki's status on the European golf scene. The course has served as the proud host of the European Challenge Tour's Finnish Challenge on multiple occasions, earning high praise from professional players for its tour-quality conditioning and fast, true putting greens.
Did You Know? The resort of Vierumäki is Finland's national Olympic training center, meaning golfers can enjoy world-class athletic facilities, including spas, indoor arenas, and sports clinics, alongside their championship round.
