Overview: Close to Cocoa Beach, Viera East Golf Club gives Rockledge an 18-hole public round. Joe Lee's layout combines rolling fairways, lakes, white-sand bunkers and wildlife corridors within the Viera community.
History: The Viera Company constructed the course in 1994 as a focal amenity for the development, and Joe Lee was selected as architect. The Viera East Community Development District manages the municipal golf club today.
Did You Know? The course's wildlife list includes bald eagles, sandhill cranes, deer, foxes, bobcats and alligators. That is a reminder that the course's natural corridors are an active part of the playing environment, not simply decorative landscaping.
