Overview: Located near Södertälje, south of Stockholm, the South Course at Vidbynäs Golf Club is an 18-hole parkland layout designed by Brian Julin. Set within a historic estate featuring mature oak forests and open agricultural plains, the course features wide fairways, large natural water hazards, and expansive green complexes. The layout demands strategic positioning off the tee and accurate approach shots to navigate the numerous lakes and streams that guard the greens.
History: Opened in the early 2000s alongside its sister North Course, the South Course was built to establish Vidbynäs as a premier 36-hole championship resort. The layout was carefully integrated into the historic estate grounds, providing a high-quality competitive test that has hosted several professional events on the Swedish Golf Tour.
Did You Know? The club is centered around the historic Vidbynäs Gård, an elegant 19th-century manor house that now serves as a luxury hotel and clubhouse. Players can enjoy classic Swedish countryside hospitality in a tranquil, historic setting just a short drive from the capital.
