Overview: Vestfyns Golfklub is an 18-hole, par-72 parkland course in Krengerupskoven near Glamsbjerg on Funen. The route is framed by Danish beech woodland and open Funen farmland, with small lakes, wildlife and changing tree lines providing the main visual and strategic structure. The official scorecard lists 5,645 metres from the yellow tees, approximately 6,173 yards, and the directory records the same par. Vestfyns is a quiet, natural course where the holes often feel separated from one another, so the round has a sense of discovery rather than a continuous view across the property.
History: Vestfyns Golfklub began in June 1974 with six holes and a founding group from the local community. The course was expanded step by step as the club grew, reaching 18 holes in 1992. That full-course year is used for this directory row, while the club's earlier six-hole beginning remains important to its story. The development was built through local effort and financial support, helping make golf more widely available on western Funen. The old clubhouse and the surrounding beech forest still reinforce that community-built character.
Did You Know? The club describes the course as a place where woodpeckers in the forest and frogs in the many ponds can be the only interruptions during a round. That wildlife detail is a useful guide to the layout's character: Vestfyns is not a course cut away from nature, but one that uses woodland, farmland and water as its natural boundaries. Several holes can feel remarkably secluded despite being part of a full 18-hole facility.
