Overview: Located in a quiet, rolling forest landscape in Vear, the 18-hole championship course at Vestfold Golfklubb is one of southern Norway's oldest and most prestigious parkland courses. Redesigned by Jeremy Turner, the course features narrow, undulating fairways framed by mature pines, birches, and spruces, with strategic water hazards and small, fast putting greens. The tree-lined corridors and the rolling terrain require precise iron play and careful strategic positioning off the tee.
History: Founded in 1958 as one of Norway's pioneer clubs, the current 18-hole championship layout opened in 2002 under the supervision of Turner. The redesign modernized the routing and green complexes to international standards while beautifully preserving the course's historic tree-lined character, serving as a proud host for numerous national amateur championships.
Did You Know? The club maintains a close commitment to nature preservation, with the course serving as a critical ecological sanctuary for local bird species and featuring several protected oak trees that date back centuries.
