Overview: The Victory Course at Verrado is an 18-hole public championship course in Buckeye, west of Phoenix, set against the White Tank Mountains. Tom Lehman and John Fought shaped the layout around natural rocky terrain, open desert and the gently rolling land of the Victory district. The course plays to par 72 and 7,258 yards from the black tees. Generous fairways invite a confident start, but the mountain foothills, native areas and strategic approach angles create a more demanding second half of the round. Its western Valley location makes it a strong add-on for golfers exploring beyond Scottsdale.
History: Victory was planned as a new district within Verrado, with the golf course and open landscape central to the community’s identity. Construction began in 2013, and the course emerged as the second major Verrado layout after the Founders Course. The current operator positions Victory as a course that uses the land rather than flattening it, while the Lehman and Fought design partnership provides continuity across the two Verrado golf experiences.
Did You Know? Victory saves its most memorable test for the 18th hole. The closing design uses the natural rocky surroundings to make the final approach feel like a fitting statement for the White Tank Mountain setting.
