Overview: Originally opened as Tegavah, the course was transformed into the Verde River Golf & Social Club following an extensive 2016 redesign by Tom Lehman. Located in Rio Verde, the course offers some of the most spectacular, unobstructed views in the state, looking toward the Four Peaks and Mazatzal Mountains. Lehman enhanced the layout by softening some of its more punishing desert features, expanding the fairways, and redesigning the green complexes to reward strategic approach shots while maintaining the rugged, high-desert beauty that defines the Tonto National Forest boundary.
Did You Know? The redesign was part of a major revitalization of the community, turning a formerly public "hidden gem" into one of the most sought-after private social and golf clubs in the Scottsdale area.
