Overview: Located in Vejle, Denmark, the Parken (Park) and Skoven (Forest) combination at Vejle Golf Club forms a highly demanding 18-hole championship layout. Set in a steeply rolling, glacial valley, the course features tight, tree-lined fairways, significant elevation changes, and small, well-defended putting surfaces. The dense beech forests heavily restrict the playing corridors, requiring players to shape their tee shots and control their distances on the steep uphill approaches.
History: Vejle Golf Club was founded in 1966, and the layout was later expanded into a massive 27-hole complex. The original routing utilized the steep, rugged topography of the Munkebjerg forest, creating one of the most physically demanding courses in Denmark. The club regularly hosts major national amateur championships.
Did You Know? The course is heavily heavily integrated into the Munkebjerg forest ecosystem. The dramatic topography is the result of massive glaciers carving through the Jutland peninsula during the last ice age, leaving behind steep ravines and deep valleys.
