Overview: Located in Vestre Slidre, Norway, the Svart (Black) Course at Valdres Golfklubb is a highly scenic 18-hole woodland and parkland layout. Set in a wide, high-altitude mountain valley along the shores of the Slidrefjord, the course features tight fairways, natural streams, and small, well-defended putting surfaces. The course demands precise ball placement off the tee to navigate the mature trees and the deep waters of the fjord.
History: The club was established in the late 1990s to bring high-quality competitive golf to the rugged Valdres region. The layout was carefully routed to showcase the dramatic lakeside topography, establishing a premier destination that frequently hosts regional amateur championships and serves as a major draw for visiting golfers.
Did You Know? Because the course is built in a steep alpine valley, players can enjoy breathtaking, panoramic views of the massive, snow-capped Jotunheimen mountain range from nearly every elevated tee box on the property.
