Overview: Located in Uppsala, Sweden, the 18-Hole Course at Upsala Golfklubb is a classic woodland and parkland course designed by Rafael Sundblom. Winding through a dense, mature forest of pine and spruce, the layout features tight, tree-lined fairways, subtle elevation changes, and small, well-defended putting surfaces. The course demands precise ball placement off the tee and disciplined iron play to navigate the narrow forest corridors and avoid the strategically placed sand hazards.
History: Founded in 1937, Upsala is one of the oldest and most historic golf clubs in central Sweden. The course was gradually expanded into a full 18-hole championship layout and has been carefully preserved over the decades, retaining its classic strategic values and intimate routing while hosting numerous regional amateur championships.
Did You Know? The course is built on a highly stable, well-draining sandy subsoil that ensures excellent natural drainage, allowing the fairways to remain firm and playable year-round, despite the dense surrounding forest canopy.
