Overview: University Ridge is a public 18-hole course in Verona, Wisconsin, designed by Robert Trent Jones Jr. The front nine crosses open prairie and marshland, while the back nine moves through woodland, all following the ridge left by the retreating Wisconsin Glacier.
History: The course opened in 1991 as the official home course of the University of Wisconsin men's and women's golf teams. Its routing was shaped by the terminal moraine and designed to preserve the natural division between hills and valleys.
Did You Know? The name University Ridge comes from the glacial ridge that separates the surrounding rolling hills and valleys near Madison.
