Overview: Located in Fagagna, in the scenic hills of the Friuli region, Udine Golf Club offers a technical and rolling parkland layout. The routing winds through a dense landscape of mature oak and cherry trees, with the Carnic Alps providing a backdrop to several holes. Golfers must navigate subtle elevation changes, narrow fairways, and strategic water hazards, particularly the pond safeguarding the final green complex.
History: Established in 1972, the course was originally designed by British architect John Harris, who utilized the natural morainic hills to create a strategic routing. The course underwent renovations led by Marco Croze and Fulvio Bani to modernize the green complexes and extend the layout for championship play. The venue has hosted several international tournaments, including the Senior Italian Open.
Did You Know? The club property features over seven thousand trees, including ancient wild cherry trees that bloom in the spring, adding a vibrant natural display to the course's challenging back nine corridors.
