TXO (Wolf Point Ranch)

Overview: TXO, commonly known as Wolf Point Ranch, is a private 18-hole links-style course near Port Lavaca, Texas, designed by Mike Nuzzo. The routing follows a broad ranch landscape with sandy ground, native grasses, rolling fairways and wind that is a constant part of shot selection. Keller Creek comes into play on several holes, while the course uses a deliberately simple, low-intervention presentation.

History: Nuzzo's design was built on the Wolf Point ranch and was in play by 2008. Its identity comes from a minimalist approach: there are few conventional markers and little visual clutter, with the natural ground and wind shaping the round.

Did You Know? The Wolf Point property includes an airstrip and, according to GOLF's account, camels are part of the ranch landscape.
