Turtle Point Golf Course at Kiawah Island Resort

Overview: Turtle Point is a Jack Nicklaus course at Kiawah Island Resort, set among maritime forest, lagoons and the island’s coastal wind. Compared with the Ocean Course, its protected corridors make the challenge more about position, angle and controlled approaches than open exposure alone.

History: Jack Nicklaus opened Turtle Point in 1981 and returned to oversee a substantial renovation in 2016. The work updated tees, bunkers and turf while retaining the course’s identity in Kiawah’s East Beach setting.

Did You Know? Nicklaus returned in 2016 to oversee work that added upgraded tee boxes, paspalum and larger bunkers.
