Overview: The Arnold Palmer Course at Turtle Bay is a public resort layout on Oahu’s North Shore near Kahuku. Arnold Palmer and Ed Seay shaped a course that moves between Scottish-style open holes and a more tropical back nine, with wind, palms and marshland changing the atmosphere. The horseshoe routing around Punahoʻolapa marsh adds a strong ecological and strategic edge.
History: The Palmer Course opened in 1992 and was designed by Arnold Palmer and Ed Seay. It followed the original Turtle Bay course and became the resort’s principal 18-hole public layout, later hosting Champions Tour, LPGA and Hawaii State Open golf.
Did You Know? The course wraps around Punahoʻolapa marsh, a roughly 100-acre wetland and bird sanctuary. Water comes into play on 14 holes, so the marsh is not only a natural feature beside the course but also a recurring part of the shot-making problem.
