Overview: Tsukigase Country Club runs through the hilly country around the famous Tsukigase plum forest, using changes in elevation and a single bent green to create a muscular 6,880-yard par-72 round. The route has enough length for strong tee shots to matter, but the slopes and landing angles decide whether that distance is useful.
History: Tsukigase first opened in 1967. Tsukigase opened on 1 October 1967 and is credited to J. E. Crane. The club's current guide retains the original mountain-course character, including the large property, a 200-yard practice ground and a sequence of holes that change from elevated positions to tighter valley corridors.
Did You Know? The club sits beside Tsukigase Plum Grove, one of the area's best-known landscape features. In blossom season the relationship between the golf course and the surrounding trees becomes particularly clear, giving an otherwise demanding mountain round a softer seasonal edge. The club's 200-yard practice ground is another sign that the property was built for serious regular play, not simply for a short scenic visit.
