Overview: Located at the base of the Trysil mountain resort in eastern Norway, Trysilfjellet Golfklubb is a scenic 18-hole alpine woodland course designed by Jeremy Turner. Carved through dense pine and birch forests, the layout features significant elevation changes, narrow fairways, and small green complexes. The course demands accurate ball placement to navigate the tight forest corridors and avoid the natural mountain streams that intersect several holes.
History: Opened in 2003 as a premier sporting feature of the luxury alpine resort, the course was designed to showcase the wild, rugged beauty of Norway's mountains while providing a high-quality summer activity for resort guests. Turner utilized the natural alpine slopes to craft a highly strategic and visually stunning layout.
Did You Know? Due to its high alpine altitude and pure mountain setting, the course is bordered by pristine, natural trout streams. Players can enjoy spectacular views of the Trysil mountain peaks, which are famously used for world-class skiing during the winter months.
