Overview: The Blue Monster at Trump National Doral is a parkland course in Miami. Originally designed by Dick Wilson, the course is defined by its water hazards and deep bunkers. The par-four 18th hole is one of the most challenging finishing holes in golf.
History: Opened in 1962, the course hosted the PGA Tour's Doral Open for over four decades. A complete restoration by Gil Hanse in 2014 modernized and deepened its hazards.
Did You Know? The course earned its nickname "The Blue Monster" from professional golfers in the 1960s who struggled with the persistent water hazards and lakes that come into play on many holes.
