Trump International Scotland (New Course)

Overview: The New Course at Trump International Scotland is a large-scale links layout on the Aberdeenshire coast, routed through the Great Dunes beside the North Sea. Its official hole guide describes a course shaped by tall dunes, exposed coastal ground and long sightlines, so wind and lie quality are important parts of the test.

History: The New Course opened in 2025 as a second layout at the Balmedie destination. The official press material credits an original masterplan by Martin Hawtree and records the completed course at 7,589 yards, while the existing Old Course remains a separate directory identity.

Did You Know? The opening holes are threaded through the Great Dunes, and the official tour describes the coastline itself as a defining feature of the routing rather than a backdrop added after the design.
