Overview: Golden Palm is one of the four championship courses at Trump National Doral Miami. The routing combines broad South Florida fairways with shaped greens, deep-edged bunkers, and water hazards that influence most of the round. Gil Hanse's work gave the course a more deliberate strategic identity, with the 7,012-yard par-71 layout asking for precision as much as power.
History: The course began as Doral's Gold Course in the 1960s and was later modified by Raymond Floyd before Gil Hanse's 2014 reworking. The renovation brought new shaping, bunker detail, and green contours to a long-established resort property. The present Golden Palm identity therefore combines older Doral history with a much newer design layer.
Did You Know? The course's name refers to the golden palm trees that are characteristic of the Doral property. The 18th hole then turns the tropical setting into a strategic finish with an island-green approach.
