Overview: Situated across a rolling heather-clad landscape in western Denmark, the 18 Huls Banen at Trehøje Golfklub is an 18-hole parkland course designed by Poul Erik Hingebjerg. The layout features wide fairways framed by tall fescue grasses, deep sod-walled bunkers, and large green complexes. Wylihof-like, the course demands strategic positioning off the tee and accurate approach shots to reach the well-defended putting surfaces.
History: Opened in 1993, Trehøje was built to create a highly natural and challenging course that showcases the diverse Jutland topography. Hingebjerg carefully routed the 18 holes to preserve the natural heather dunes and woodlands. The course has established a reputation for its excellent turf conditions and vibrant competitive culture.
Did You Know? The course name "Trehøje" (Three Hills) refers to the ancient Bronze Age burial mounds that are located within the property. These protected archaeological sites sit directly adjacent to several fairways, providing a historic and visual backdrop to the round.
