Overview: Tranquilo Golf Club at Four Seasons Orlando is a Tom Fazio course in Lake Buena Vista that moves from resort surroundings into protected wetlands, forest and open water. The 18-hole layout is par 71 and measures 6,901 yards from the longest listed tees. Changing elevations, abundant wildlife and the contrast between wooded corridors and lake holes give the course a more secluded rhythm than its location near Orlando’s major attractions suggests. Strategy comes from sightlines, landing angles and position rather than from one dominant hazard, while four sets of tees make the routing adaptable across a wide range of playing levels.
History: The course was built in 1992 as Disney’s Osprey Ridge, with Tom Fazio as the architect. Fazio Design returned to update and enhance the existing course for its relaunch as Tranquilo Golf Course at Four Seasons Orlando in 2014. The later work retained the identity of the original routing while sharpening the resort’s golf and practice offering. A subsequent improvement program created a 16-acre practice facility with natural-grass tees, target greens, short-game areas and a two-acre putting surface.
Did You Know? Tranquilo is a Certified Audubon Sanctuary, and the course’s natural setting is part of its design story rather than background decoration. The layout threads through protected wetlands and varied elevation, with wildlife and water shaping the visual experience. Its previous life as Disney’s Osprey Ridge also makes it a useful example of how a Fazio course can be refreshed for a new resort identity while keeping its original Florida character.
