Trang An Golf & Resort (Pine)

Overview: Trang An Golf & Resort Pine is the short-course counterpart to the full-length Champion routing in Ninh Binh. Pirapon Namatra designed the 18-hole layout, which the current official material lists at 2,993 yards and describes as a par-3 course. Its setting is the pine forest and lake country of the Trang An complex, with elevated greens, streams, wooded corridors and the surrounding limestone landscape providing the visual structure. The course is built around precision rather than power. Club selection, trajectory and the ability to control a short approach matter more than simply finding distance from the tee.

History: Pine was developed as part of Trang An's two-course resort concept, alongside the Champion course. Current operator information presents it as an unusual 18-hole short course, while public history records disagree on whether the present two-course complex debuted in 2016 or 2018. The profile therefore preserves the route identity and designer without claiming a date that the available sources cannot reconcile. It is important to keep Pine separate from Champion because the two layouts serve different purposes and have different design languages.

Did You Know? The current course description says Pine has 16 par-3 holes and two par-4 holes. That makes it more than a conventional nine-hole pitch-and-putt concept repeated twice: the layout is an 18-hole short-course experience with a deliberate mixture of hole lengths and a complete round structure set among the pines.
