Overview: TPC Scottsdale’s Champions Course is a public desert layout in Scottsdale, Arizona. Randy Heckenkemper’s design uses native desert space, narrow playing corridors and strategic hazards to provide a quieter, more ground-oriented counterpart to the Stadium Course.
History: The Champions Course was revamped in 2007 on the former site of TPC Scottsdale’s Desert Course. The redevelopment retained the TPC setting while creating a distinct course with its own routing and visual identity.
Did You Know? The Champions Course is built on the same site as the former Desert Course. Its identity is therefore partly a story of renewal: an older TPC layout was transformed rather than simply abandoned.
