Overview: TPC Las Vegas is a Bobby Weed and Raymond Floyd design in Summerlin, routed through natural desert canyons and rocky ground west of the Strip. The current official course page gives the layout 7,016 yards and par 71. Perched tees, elevation changes and forced carries create a course where the desert is an active strategic boundary, while the fairways and greens are shaped to give the public routing a clear tournament character. The design is challenging without relying only on length, especially when the canyon lines affect the safest angle of play.
History: TPC Las Vegas opened in 1996 as TPC at The Canyons and became part of the PGA TOUR's Tournament Players Club network. From 1996 through 2006 it hosted the Shriner's Hospitals for Children Open, the Bard Capital Challenge and the Las Vegas Senior Classic. Bobby Weed designed the course with Raymond Floyd as player consultant. The course remains open to the public, carrying its tournament history into the current Summerlin setting.
Did You Know? TPC Las Vegas offers a blended tee route listed at 6,221 yards, combining nine holes from the blue tees with nine from the white tees. It is an official course option that reduces forced carries while preserving the routing's strategic shape.
