Overview: TPC Deere Run is a public D.A. Weibring design in Silvis, Illinois, routed across rolling ground beside the Rock River. Wooded ravines, open fairway corridors and the property’s former agricultural uses give the course a natural Midwestern character. The risk-and-reward layout invites aggression, but contoured greens and narrow approaches punish imprecise positioning.
History: The course opened in 2000 and became the permanent home of the John Deere Classic that same year. Weibring used the site’s rolling land, wooded ravines and river corridor to create a PGA TOUR venue that still reads as a local landscape rather than a manufactured stadium.
Did You Know? TPC Deere Run was built on a former Arabian horse farm. The property’s past also appears in the hole names, several of which refer to local land, agricultural and John Deere history.
