Overview: Town of Palm Beach Par 3 is an 18-hole public short course on 39 acres between the ocean and the Intracoastal Waterway. The current black tees total about 2,572 yards across par-3 holes, with individual holes ranging from 81 to 211 yards and wind, water, and bunkers defining the challenge.
History: Dick Wilson and his apprentice Joe Lee designed the original course, which was built by Michael Phipps and opened in 1961. The Town of Palm Beach purchased it in 1973, and Raymond Floyd led a renovation and redesign in 2009.
Did You Know? The course hosted the LPGA Pro-Am from 1983 through 2000. That event history helps explain why a short par-3 layout beside the water became part of the competitive golf story of Palm Beach.
