Overview: Emina South carries a 7,020-yard, par-72 scorecard through rows of white birch at Tomakomai Golf Resort 72. The official course page calls it a high-class, tournament-used routing, with ponds and bunker sand supplying visual accents to the spacious Hokkaido setting. Its length is close to East, but the South course asks for a different balance of power and placement because the tree lines and water features frame the landing choices more visibly.
History: The Emina facility opened in July 1974 and was designed by Naoto Sugaya. South's tournament record includes the Nikkai Cup Nakamura Torakichi Memorial in 1993 and 1994, followed by the AXA Ladies Tournament from 2007 through 2009. The current directory Left record is treated as the canonical South routing, while the paired Right row is held because the official resort presents one South Course rather than two different 18-hole courses.
Did You Know? South's seventh hole is a 165-yard par three played over a pond, and the official guide specifically warns that the changing wind direction can alter the shot. The hole is a compact summary of the route: the landscape is beautiful, but the water and wind are active strategic features rather than background scenery.
