Overview: This directory entry is the bent-green variant of Tokyo Yomiuri Country Club, an 18-hole, par-72 championship course in the Tama Hills. The official course page lists 7,002 yards from the tournament tees and shows a routing of uphill and downhill holes, doglegs and a demanding water finish. The wooded suburban setting is close to Tokyo, but the landform gives the course a much larger, more open tournament feel.
History: Tokyo Yomiuri formally opened on April 19, 1964, after construction began in 1960. Seiichi Inoue designed the course to use the natural Tama Hills terrain. The club has since hosted the Japan Series, World Ladies events and other major competitions, building a record that remains central to the course’s identity.
Did You Know? The closing 18th is a long par three over water, an unusual final test that has become one of Japanese golf’s most recognizable finishing holes. The Bent and Korai directory rows are green variants of the same physical course, but the Bent tournament card is the par-72 reference used here.
