Overview: Tokyo Classic Club offers a modern private sanctuary that harmonizes a challenging golf course with a luxury country lifestyle. Designed by Jack Nicklaus, the parkland routing features wide, rolling fairways, deep bunkering, and large, undulating green complexes. It is a strategic design that rewards placement over power, requiring golfers to carefully select their targets from the tee to secure favorable angles.
History: Debuting in 2016, the club was developed as a modern interpretation of the traditional Western country club, introducing equestrian facilities and organic farming to the property. Nicklaus carved the course out of a dense cedar forest in Chiba, utilizing the natural elevation changes of the site to fashion a routing that feels mature and integrated.
Did You Know? The course was designed with an eco-conscious philosophy, preserving a significant portion of the original cedar woodlands. The routing also incorporates a series of interconnected retention ponds that double as strategic hazards while helping manage the regional watershed.
