Overview: Thunder Bayou Golf Links is an 18-hole public links-style course in Blytheville, Arkansas. The layout uses open rolling fairways, strategically placed hazards and fast greens to create a broad, wind-sensitive test. Water and sand appear often enough to shape decisions, while the exposed setting gives the course a different feel from a heavily wooded Arkansas parkland track.
History: The city records the course opening in spring 2002. Thunder Bayou was built as a championship facility with Bermuda fairways and A-4 bentgrass greens, and it remains part of Blytheville’s municipal golf offering.
Did You Know? Water comes into play on seven holes and the course has 80 bunkers, according to the City of Blytheville. The third hole is treated as the signature hole by the course, giving the routing an early point where its links-style hazards become especially visible.
