Overview: Thornblade Club is a private Tom Fazio course in Greer, South Carolina, set across more than 130 acres in the Upstate. The layout is the centerpiece of a master-planned community, but its identity comes from Fazio’s strategic corridors, mature landscape, and polished championship conditioning.
History: Jay Haas and Champ Covington founded Thornblade Club in 1988, and the Tom Fazio course opened in April 1990. The club later became a long-running home for professional and junior competition, including the BMW Charity Pro-Am and the SCJGA Blade Junior Golf Classic.
Did You Know? Thornblade hosted the BMW Charity Pro-Am for 15 years. That event history brought touring professionals to a private Upstate course which has also been home to several prominent South Carolina professionals.
